About Zeta Beast

On the shelf of Quantum Heroes Dinoster transforming dinosaur robot toys, Zeta Beast is the 2-in-1 — and the whole toy is the change between its shapes.

This is Zeta Beast, a two-mode build — the whole toy is the change between the vehicle and the robot standing up.

It stands 7.67 inches. The name points at Pterosaur: a flight profile the ground team cannot follow.

No batteries anywhere in this box, including the parts that light up.

What Zeta Beast is a piece of

The shelf came second. Quantum Heroes Dinoster is an original series from FunnyFlux Entertainment in South Korea, distributed in China by Alpha Group and backed by the Educational Dinoster System. That matters for Zeta Beast, because the hi-tech look was designed on screen and the mould was cut to match.

Four kids, one parallel Earth

Four kids, one parallel Earth. On Dino-Earth the dinosaurs never went extinct, the kids travel across through a quantum gate, and the job is to protect living animals from an extinction that already happened once.

Lucio, Oz, Delby and Jay Min make up the team, and every one of the four kids is tied to exactly one Dinoster:

  • Lucio — Raptor Dinoster, red suit
  • Oz — Stego Dinoster, green suit
  • Delby — Ankylo Dinoster, yellow suit
  • Jay Min — Ptera Dinoster, blue suit

Professor Laura is the adult in the room: she teaches the team what it is looking at, while the hi-tech quantum suits and the transforming vehicles do the rest of the work.

Why there is a mission at all

Every season the same villain returns. Bex Hunter turns stolen dinosaurs into cybernetic Armorsaurs and means to save neither Earth from the result. Joining that mission means taking something back and saving it on the way home — which is precisely what the mighty fleet Zeta Beast sits in is for.

The pterosaur entries in the episode list

The series runs three seasons and seventy-eight episodes of about eleven minutes each, so one episode fits one robot exactly. These are the pterosaur episodes worth starting with for Zeta Beast:

  • The Classmate Lost in Dino Earth
  • The Invisible Therizinosaurus
  • One Troublemaking Pterosaur Egg
  • Jay Min and the Sky Patrol
  • The Fire-Breathing Quetzalcoatlus
  • Hatzegopteryx: Ruler of the Sky

Three seasons, in short

Season one is Welcome to Dino Earth, season two hands over the Super Dino Suit, season three closes the gate. Between those: a Carnotaurus that teleports, a school visit, a baby raptor rescue, an egg, a dino dentist, a living fossil, a magnetic Mononykus and a giant Iguanadon migration.

The bestiary behind the robots

Every robot name here points at a dinosaur the team has run into at least once. A Triceratops is a Triceratops, a Brachiosaurus is a giant, and the T-Rex is the one the villain will not leave alone. Part of what the series has put on screen:

  • Baryonyx
  • Triceratops
  • Hatzegopteryx
  • Titanoboa
  • Quetzalcoatlus
  • Stegosaurus
  • Velociraptor
  • Therizinosaurus

What the team actually does with an animal

The team studies, the child learns, and the danger is handled before the credits. No mighty moral is attached. Because the English dub keeps the naming the original used, an animal called a Triceratops in one country stays a Triceratops in the next, and saving it is the point of taking the mission at all. There is a magnetic dinosaur in here, a dino dentist and a baby raptor rescue — the writers work from the bestiary instead of inventing, pterosaur eggs included.

How to see it in English

It has been dubbed for more than one country, but the English run for the United States — live since 28 August 2023, a season after South Korea — is the one most families watch. The series costs nothing to watch, so it costs nothing to check whether Zeta Beast is the one.

Quantum Heroes Dinoster transforming dinosaur robot toys, by mode count

Everything here converts, so the question is how many steps the hands want: two modes for a first robot, three when the sequence stops being a trick, four when the body is meant to come apart into vehicles.

Where Quantum Heroes Dinoster sits on a toy shelf

Quantum Heroes Dinoster is a line of transforming dinosaur robot toys built from the vehicles the crew flies on screen, screen fleet first. Two to four modes per box, five to sixteen inches tall, polished ABS joints, no batteries, and a named animal behind every model.

Dino-Earth, where it is driven

A night run through the valley
The four Dinosters standing together on Dino-Earth
A rift tower above the Dino-Earth skyline
A canyon chase at speed
A rift storm opening over the plain

So much fun

My son is 5 and did not skip a beat when he got this toy! He loves that he’s able to take it apart and put it back together. He loves making different robots. I mean he just has a blast with it! I do help him sometimes because it we were just learning how to use it! Love it!

What a great toy!

I got this for my son who is obsessed with all things that transform. It more than met my expectations. It's solid quality and not too complicated to transform. It is amazing how many different ways all the pieces combine and impressive how big they are. I winced at the price, as we don't usually spend this much on our kids, but it was 100% worth it.

Fun transforming toy that's easy to use

This review is for the QUANTUM HEROES DINOSTER 2-in-1 Robot Zeta Beast – Vehicle & Robot, 5+ 2-in-1 robot: vehicle + jet combine into Zeta Beast. 7.67in. Easy switch modes. No batteries. For kids 5+. I got this QUANTUM HEROES DINOSTER Zeta Beast for my grandson's 7th birthday, and I think this is going to be a big hit with him! Of course, I had to test it out before giving it to him. 😊 I wanted to make sure the transformation was something he could handle and that it would hold up to some enthusiastic play. He is on the Spectrum and can sometimes get impatient or frustrated, so I like to be prepared to offer a little guidance in case he needs it. I was really happy with how smoothly this switches between the vehicle and robot/jet modes. The transition isn't difficult or frustrating, and the joints are flexible enough to move easily without feeling like they're going to snap. I also like that there are no batteries to worry about—it's completely ready to play right out of the box. The 2-in-1 design is a lot of fun because you essentially get two different ways to play with one toy. At a little over 7.5 inches, it's also a nice size for little hands to handle and move around. I was impressed with the overall feel and durability when testing it. It feels like it can handle normal kid play without being overly delicate, which is important for my grandson. I'm saving it for his birthday, so I haven't seen his reaction yet, but after playing with it myself, I definitely think he's going to enjoy this one. It's fun, easy to transform, and doesn't require batteries. A great birthday gift for a 7-year-old!
